Armed with jokes and humorous questions, TV Host Alex Gonzaga instead received serious responses from Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto as she visited his office for her latest YouTube vlog episode.
Gonzaga’s tour to Pasig City Hall doubled as an interview with Sotto on different topics — road congestion, local coronavirus outbreak response, and disaster monitoring.
When asked how he handles social media critics, Mayor Sotto said: “Dapat hindi ka masyado maapektuhan, pero sa isang banda, naniniwala ako, as a public servant, tinitingnan ko rin ‘yung feedback.”
Gonzaga also mentioned that she rarely saw Sotto’s photo on display.
Iba ‘yun,” he added.
The actress also brought up personal topics, including the mayor’s relationship with his parents — television personalities Connie Reyes and “Bossing” Vic Sotto.
“Medyo natakot sila para sa akin,” he said of their reaction to his running for mayor in 2019.
“Pero kahit ganoon ‘yung feeling nila, talagang very supportive sila.
The 31-year-old local executive was also asked whether he is hoping to find a “first lady.”
“Sa ngayon, hindi naman priority ‘yan. Lalo noong nag-pandemic, wala ka nang time. Focus muna tayo sa trabaho,” Sotto answered.
