With only a year left before his term ends, President Rodrigo Duterte said he will not boast about the accomplishments his administration has done .
Instead, the President said he wants people to “just look around” to see how the country has changed during his assumption in the highest government post.
"Nothing. All I want is for people to just look around. Ito [LRT-2]. Hindi ko ipagyabang. Unang una, hindi ko ito pera," Duterte said during the inauguration of the LRT-2 East Extension Project in Antipolo City Thursday.
"I will just mention what were the projects completed, without necessarily attributing the miracle to me," he added. "Worker ako ng government. Nagtrabaho lang ako, so wala akong dapat ipagyabang."
Moreover, Duterte said instead of enumerating the government's projects, he will just give credit to those officials on the ground like Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar.
"Ako ba ay nagpagod dito? Ako ba yung nasa ground? Lahat sila...the workers of government, especially those who are appointed and who have worked so well. The credit should go to them," he said.
Duterte will deliver his final SONA on July 26.
