Religious leader Apollo Quiboloy lauded President Rodrigo Duterte's leadership saying that the country is "so blessed to have him" as president, following their reunion in Davao City Tuesday, August 17.

“This is a working President. He takes care of the affairs of the nation and we are so blessed to have him,” Quiboloy said commending Duterte for his hard work as President.

Duterte recently visited the Kingdom of Jesus Christ’s headquarters in Davao during a break from work to visit his old friend, Quiboloy, and shared meals and stories.

"He knows the every bit of the affair of this nation from national security, to international affairs…to local governance so we’re all set for the prosperity of this nation,” he added.

The get-together proceeded with a prayer for the President’s health and "future plans."

According to the report of Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), Duterte was seen bowing his head and was heard thanking the Lord during the prayer.

“Whatever trials may come your way, the Almighty Father will be with you,” he said in his prayer in Visayan dialect.

Moreover, Quiboloy expressed his delight seeing Duterte in good health.

“God is happy with our President so I imparted all the blessings to him, to his health, to his family, and to his future plans and future missions in life,” he said in an interview over SMNI.

"He’s looking good. He’s looking healthy and we are so glad for that,” he added.
