Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque gave his insights about the “wrong” criticisms that they have been receiving against the public in response to CoronaVirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) Delta Variant.
Tons of criticisms were being received by the Malacañang Palace after they announced that they will place some cities and provinces under Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to hike in COVID-19 cases because some says that the government has been ‘reactive’ in response to the Delta threat.
“Mali po yan. Mali po yan. Isang linggo nga ang binigay na palugit ang publiko para paghandaan itong lockdown ng ECQ. Maling mali po yan, hindi po tayo reactive,” Roque stressed.
Roque explained that we are guided by science. That's why their decision to implement ECQ in some parts of the country is essential because the COVID-19 cases depend on how we will treat the situation.
“Sa ngayon po, itong linggong palugit ay wala pong danger na mauubusan tayo ng hospital facilities,” Roque said.
Roque aforementioned that they’re already getting ready for the past few days just in case that there’ll be a lack of hospital facilities due to the hike of COVID-19 cases.
As of the moment, some senators are making their way to more proactive responses for the safety of everyone because the health authorities informed them that the COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila will increase if not further noticed.
