Bren Esports got eliminated in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Philippines Season 8 last Saturday after they failed to score their much needed points against Echo Philippines where they got swept 0-2.
There was still hope after that game as RSG was needed to score atleast 1 point against second seeded Onic Philippines, which the former achieved right off the first game of the series.
This is the first time in MPL and Bren's franchise history that the team will not ne qualifying for the playoffs.
"Maraming maraming salamat sa mga sumuporta we would like to apologize for letting you guys down, we will recover from this. Bren lang muna. Tanggalin lang muna natin ang malakas," Bren head coach Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro said.
On the other hand, they will also not qualify for the M3 World Championships where they are the defending champions, meaning someone will be crowned as the new champions of the world of MLBB.
Bren, which is now 7th place, still has one game in the season as they will face the MPL-PH defending champions Blacklist International this Sunday.
Before Bren, their scrimmage-mates TNC Pro Team also bid farewell to this season as they also got swept by Omega last Friday in their final stretch to rack up some points, settling in 8th place.
