The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) said Tuesday that limited face-to-face classes in higher education institutions (HEIs) in areas under Alert Level 3 will start on January 31.
“The date of the phase 2 of the implementation of limited face-to-face classes for all programs of HEIs in areas under Alert Level 3 should begin on 31 January 2022 (Monday),” CHED said in an advisory.
When resuming schools for limited in-person classes, CHED advised HEIs to follow health and safety regulations.
CHED also stated that HEIs located in areas under Alert Level 2 may commence restricted in-person classes at any time.
However, the HEIs decisions on implementing in-person classes should adjust according to COVID-19 conditions on the ground.
Further, under CHED guidelines, only fully vaccinated students, teaching and non-teaching personnel are allowed to participate in the limited face-to-face classes.
