Pandi, who competed in the Badminton World Junior Championship in the US successfully defended his title last year by showcasing his marvelous skills in the 2024 Palarong Pambansa Secondary Badminton Boys - Singles Category.

Moreover, after the close duel in the opening frame of the first set, Pandi unleashed six straight attacks after the interval to take over the momentum and draw the first blood advantage to his side, 21-11.

The 17-year old athlete maintained his aggression by ruling the offence and delivered his powerful attacks in the halfway that resulted in a 10-4 run.

Pandi then concluded the match with a quick defensive play after the service of Javier at 21-10.

With the victory, BARMM held a total of six medals: one gold, one silver and four bronze, placing 18th in the Palarong Pambansa 2024 medal tally.
