Tan had no plan to get a position in politics but her good friends pushed her to run for councilor in District I of the city.

She decided to run independently even though she was asked by many to be part of their party.

It was her second time to run for politics, with her bid in the 2022 election for Manila’s 4th District.

“Pangalawang beses po, nong unang beses po hindi po ako naka-ikot or nakakampanya kahit isang beses dahil nanganak po ako May, panahon ng eleksyon, so mas pina-riority ko po yung pagbubuntis ko mas pina-riority ko po yung pamilya at anak ko,” the vlogger answered to a reporter who asked for how many times she have ran for a government post.

Tan also noted she was smart enough to learn about legislation, and she was different from her content in social media and in person.

At hindi doon natatapos ang pagiging politiko,” she said.

''Lahat po ng bagay puwede matutunan, hindi naman po ako bobong tao,'' Tan answered when she was asked about her knowledge in law making and law execution.

She assured that if she wins in the election, her salary will be given to the people.

One of her priority projects if she wins is providing maintenance medicines for senior citizens.
