GOODBYE ‘FACEBOOK’ SOON? Zuckerberg plans to rebrand Facebook — The Verge

Facebook Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg reveals plans on rebranding the social media platform with a new name as it builds a metaverse, a technology blog reported.

The Verge said that Zuckerberg will rebrand Facebook, and will be under a metaverse, a shared virtual world environment, led by a parent company.

Included in the metaverse aside from Facebook will be Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and more.

However, Facebook will not address The Verge’s report on the alleged rebranding.
