DSWD 4Ps News Update, a Philippine Facebook page, posted a picture with the caption “#SaluteToAllTeachers,” showcasing a recent list of the compensational rank of salaries for public teachers published by a YouTube review content creator known as “Sir Claide” on November 7, 2024, ranging from the lowest salary of ₱62,024 pesos for Public Teacher I to ₱139,010 pesos for Master Teacher IV. 

CLAIM: The average salary of public teachers in the Philippines has significantly leveled up to ₱62,024 pesos this November 2024.

CONCLUSION: The data obtained from the page’s post is not factual and is rather misleading. In fact, according to Inquirer, the average compensation of public teachers in the country is ₱27,000 pesos, with the lowest salary approximately ₱20,754 for educators under Teacher I while the highest salary attributed to master teachers, who, on average, make ₱63,997 pesos a month.
