The National University (NU) Pep Squad stretched its dynasty even further after clinching its ninth UAAP Cheerdance Championship with a commanding 695 points, keeping the trophy in Sampaloc once again, Nov. 29.

The victory adds another chapter to NU’s dominant run with titles from 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024, and now 2025–as its sharp, ninja-themed routine set the bar high in Season 88.

Adamson University (AdU) secured the runner-up finish with 659 points behind its explorer-inspired performance, while the Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad claimed third with 658.5 after its ‘BaTAMPinoy’ showcase fell agonizingly short by just 0.5 point in one of the tightest battles for bronze in recent memory.

University of the East placed fourth with 623 points with a “High School Musical” routine, followed by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe in fifth after scoring 618.5 with its Halloween-themed number.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad finished sixth with 558 points behind its holiday performance, while the De La Salle University Animo Squad settled for seventh with 546.6 points after rolling out a baseball concept.

Ateneo Blue Eagles rounded out the standings in eighth with 436.5 points, performing a routine inspired by the animated film ‘Sing.’

With eight UAAP Cheerdance titles each, UST and UP remain among the most decorated squads, while FEU holds three crowns and Adamson one, highlighting the fierce competition in the league.

NU’s latest triumph reinforces its position as a powerhouse in collegiate cheerleading, further solidifying its legacy as one of the UAAP’s most enduring and dominant programs.
