THE BRIGHT NORTHERN LIGHTS: Aurora Gaming blanks Alter Ego for PH’s sixth straight M-Series title

When the Philippine M-Series dynasty seemed ready to dim, Aurora Gaming PH ignited the Northern Lights in Jakarta, sealing the nation’s sixth consecutive world championship.

Dared to protect the Philippines’ standard build since M2, Aurora Gaming PH (RORA) brought out the brooms against Alter Ego (AE) Indonesia to issue a decisive 4–0 sweep and extend the country’s M-Series supremacy during the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M7 Grand Finals, held at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia, Jan. 25.

RORA’s triumphant history-defenders, composed of Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo, Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, Jan Dominic “Domengkite” Del Delmundo, Edward “Edward” Dapadap, and Dylan “Light” Catipon, brought home their squad’s maiden title in major MLBB tournaments, including nearly ₱18 million in prize money.

Meanwhile, Aurora’s prized roamer, Light, notched the Finals MVP nod of the world scene, flashing his mastery through precise setup plays that translated into the commanding victory of his team.

Right out of the gates, the Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani-coached team enforced a macro-heavy match, imposing strong zones that allowed them to secure all of the major objectives to draw the finale’s first blood.

Unrelenting from intermission, Edward proved his laning pedigree true, spearheading key team fights as he received game MVP honors using his Sora, who finished with a 7-2-8 KDA to propel Aurora into a 2–0 series lead.

Building on their found momentum, the Filipino bets rode a snowball that ultimately allowed them to conclude the match just before the 11th minute, reaching match point against AE, 3–0.

Eyeing to complete the closeout, Aurora channeled their inner killer instinct as they showcased their prowess in both the micro and macro aspects of the game to cruise into a lopsided 17–4 kill count to march onto an 11th-minute end—officially stamping PH’s sixth M-Series trophy.

With the championship, RORA officially joins Bren Esports, Blacklist International, ECHO, AP Bren, and Fnatic ONIC PH as the pillars of PH dominance in the M-series scenery.
