The Davao Eagles — represented by Matina Central Elementary School — flapped their golden wings as they soared towards an 84–66 win after gnawing the powerhouse NCR Metro Stars to snatch the elementary boys’ basketball gold medal.
With the roars of the electrifying crowd cheering them on, the Mindanao-based cagers erupted right from the get-go as they utilized their fast-paced offense to draw first blood with an opening-period 35–18 lead.
Although the Metro Stars attempted to steadily trim the deficit in the following quarters, the Eagles were simply too much for them to handle as Davao Region took advantage of their opponent’s wretched-inside defense to soar towards a 70–45.
NCR could not even find a glimmer of hope to squeeze through as Region XI completely overwhelmed the Big City ballers to emerge as champions.

Meanwhile, SOCCKSARGEN was still eager to prove their spot among the nation’s best after yesterday’s tough loss versus Davao Region, as they demolished Western Visayas via a 94–69 dispatch to seize the elementary basketball bronze medal.
Determined to give their all on the court, Region XII immediately went on a rampage as they swelled up the cushion into a 30–12 balloon thanks to their efficient inside scoring.
Although Region VI attempted to crawl back by whittling down the deficit to 30–37, SOCCKSARGEN went full throttle as they staged a rapid 11–0 burst to close off the first half.
The purple-and-white ballers kept going with guns blazing as they completely overwhelmed their opposition, exploding towards a 75–47 avalanche.
From thereon, Western Visayas’ hopes of ending their Palaro run with a podium finish were completely shattered as they were unable to regroup after SOCCKSARGEN’s rampage.
As the playoff stage comes to a close, Davao Region, NCR, and SOCCKSARGEN now compose the Palaro 2026 elementary basketball podium finishers.
