ROW dethrones Team Asia for maiden Reyes Cup trophy

Team Rest of the World (ROW) etched its name in Reyes Cup history, capturing its maiden title after dethroning defending champion Team Asia, 11–4, in the tournament’s third edition at Makati Coliseum on October 18.

Needing just two points to seal the crown, ROW won both matches on the final day to end Asia’s bid for a third consecutive title after four days of competition.

German cue artist Joshua Filler put ROW on the hill in the opening 5-on-5 team match, sinking the 9-ball off a 7-ball hit to secure a 5–3 win and move his side on the cusp of glory.

The duo of Shane Van Boening and Francisco Sánchez Ruíz then dominated Asia’s Robbie Capito and Dương Quốc Hoàng, producing a smooth 5–1 close-out for the championship point.

Sánchez Ruíz, the U.S. Open 2026 champion was named as the Most Valuable Player after displaying precision amid pressure during the four-day contest.
