Yulo, OAJLP reach French leg final; set to face defending champs

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and his French club Olympique Antibes Juan-les-Pins Gymnastique advanced to the final of the French Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championship and is set to lock horns with defending champions ASVG Vallauris on May 15.

Yulo and his squad proved mettle as they booked a spot in the finale after outscoring SMB Gymnastique, 44–29.

The Filipino gymnastic ace dazzled with poise as he tallied an impressive 14.833 in the floor exercise which was capped off in fashion via a 14.700 in vault in the tournament’s semis.

Yulo and his squad showed composure and consistency to reach the finale of the competition, which features the 12 best teams in France in a head-to-head format organized by the French Gymnastics Federation.

The team will have over a month to prepare for the championship showdown on May 15.
