PH among world’s top ChatGPT users for writing tasks — survey 

The Philippines ranked sixth globally as one of the world’s most active ChatGPT users, with Filipino users using the artificial intelligence (AI) tool for writing-related tasks.

According to the Digital 2026 Overview Report, 42.4% of Filipino internet users used this AI platform within the past month.

The Philippines follows leading countries Kenya, Brazil, Israel, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates in the rankings.

Findings further reported that ChatGPT usage in the country was significantly above the global average of only 26.5%.

Another survey from a London-based firm, GWI, also noted that Filipino users most often use AI for writing, editing, and tutoring tasks.

The same survey showed that while Filipinos are among the most engaged users of the AI platform, only a few are enthusiastic about it.

Only 47.2% of the Filipino respondents said they feel “excited” about the AI technology enhancement, compared to the 48.7% recorded worldwide.

It was then found out that the majority of the users in the Philippines are aged 16 and above during the second quarter of 2025.

The reports also confirmed an increase in the platform’s website traffic, from 192 million visits in August 2023 to 489 million in August 2025.

Since its release in late 2022, ChatGPT has remained the most widely used generative AI platform, surpassing other platforms.
