The Baby Lancers tipped-off the day with a lopsided victory over the Baby Cheetahs, finishing the high school matchup at 76-48.
Despite the blowout, UV barely slipped past the grasp of BC that resulted in a tight 36-31 lead by halftime.
Even so, the victors went relentless with their offense to claim a comfortable lead that extended further as the game ended.
Baby Lancers’ Alexander Ejurango led the charge, tallying up 13 points and rebounds for a double-double, alongside three steals and blocks.
Meanwhile, the Webmasters experienced a head-to-head contest over the Wildcats at the collegiate level before securing the victory, 74-63.
Facing the same hiccup as the Baby Lancers, UCMN struggled to take a strong lead over CIT-U as early as the tight first quarter, 21-22.
The challenge continued by the end of the first half, with the Webmasters only edging out by a 2-point lead at 38-36.
From then on, UCMN stood firm and managed to stabilize the lead to finally seal a comfortable but not dominant win.
Orchestrating the offense was Ricofer Sordilla, who quite literally stole the victory with 17 points, 2 assists, and 5 steals.
With the victories, both high school and collegiate teams are set to prepare for their next matchups
