A circulating TikTok post from the page gelo featured a screenshot of a direct message from a netizen asking Rene Baterbonia’s mother, Rovelyn Baterbonia, to be part of a school event, where she stated that she had a talent fee of 25,000 pesos.

The post claimed that Rovelyn Baterbonia needed the fee, not only for the participation in the alleged school event, but also to serve as a donation to her children.

Rovelyn Baterbonia publicly clarified that she is not demanding this amount for her children, let alone for official business.

• On her official Facebook page, she stated that it was not her account in the screenshot, citing “Hindi po Yan akin account mga basher lang Walang magawa sa Buhay kondi kmi na pagtrepan” while sharing screenshots of Facebook posts also accusing her.
• In the original TikTok post, no additional information was also given regarding the whereabouts of the school and its supposed event where Rovelyn Baterbonia would have to serve as a guest.
