MISLEADING: Facebook post claiming that Atty. Jeremy Lotoc is facing multiple cases, including Perjury

A post on Facebook states that Atty. Jeremy Lotoc, a key witness of the prosecution during the impeachment trial of the Vice President, has multiple cases filed against him, including perjury.  

CLAIM:

The post questions the reliability of the witness regarding the impeachment trial, citing an ombudsman complaint against the lawyer. 

RATING:  MISLEADING

CONCLUSION:

The claim might be valid because it is an ombudsman complaint, but the post deliberately did not include the fact that it is the defense, the Vice President’s side, who claims it and questions the credibility of the state witness.

• There is no publicly known source regarding this claim, except during the July 2026 impeachment trial

There is yet to be known regarding this claim by the defense, making the information being shared about the credibility of the witness uncertain and misleading.
