As the Land Transportation Office (LTO) continues its investigation into the car seen in the viral video traveling through the EDSA busway, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III will remain in his post, Chairperson Romando Artes confirmed.
Artes said in a press conference on September 3 Torre’s work in the agency will continue due to the absence of a suspension order against him.
LTO confirmed the MMDA-marked vehicle caught belongs to Torre, and was allegedly discovered to have a mismatched license plate.
So, I cannot confirm kung sakay siya,” Artes said.
Torre was reported to have surrendered the vehicle for an investigation after a show-cause order was issued by the LTO.
“Naka-receive po kami ng show cause order dahil yung plaka ko na nakakabit sa kotse na na-videohan po na yan ay appeared to be a license plate sa isang sasakyan ng MMDA,” Artes said.
Asthe ongoing investigation continues, LTO has summoned Torre to attend a hearing on September 4.
