NUNS sweeps Rebisco 18U crowns, dominates national and invitational finals

National University Nazareth School (NUNS) completed a commanding campaign after ruling both the National Finals and Invitational Finals of the 2025 Rebisco Volleyball League (18U), asserting its dominance with composed straight-sets wins in both championship matches, Jan. 24.

NUNS went unbeaten in Pool A of the National Finals before sweeping University of San Jose-Recoletos, 25–17, 25–15, in the semifinals. 



The Bullpups then clinched the national title with a 25–15, 29–27, 25–20 victory over Bacolod Tay Tung High School in the gold medal match, powered by steady offense and disciplined floor defense.



The dominance continued in the Invitational Finals, where NUNS dismantled Perfect Set (USA), 25–16, 25–7, 25–9, in the semifinals. 

In a rematch of the national championship, NUNS once again outlasted Bacolod Tay Tung, 25–23, 26–24, 25–15, to secure its second title of the tournament.

Diza Marie Berayo emerged as Finals MVP after anchoring NUNS in both championship matches, while Bacolod Tay Tung’s Rhose Viane Almendralejo earned Tournament MVP honors in the National Finals despite settling for runner-up finishes.

With two titles and multiple individual awards, NUNS capped the season as the league’s undisputed standard-bearer in the 18U division.

• Best Libero: Jolean Yongco (University of San Jose-Recoletos)
