Tapyas sa ilang alokasyon sa 2027 NEP, ipinaliliwanag

Nais ni Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Jonathan Flores na magbigay ng program-by-program explanation ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa isinumiteng 2027 National Expenditure Program (NEP).  

Ito ay matapos kuwestiyonin ang pagtapyas ng alokasyon para sa social services, edukasyon, kalusugan, at agrikultura sa isinumiteng budget proposal.

Ayon kay ACT Teachers Party-List Rep. Antonio Tinio, “anti-poor” at “anti-people” ang budget proposal ng DBM habang iginigiit ang mataas na alokasyon para sa mga infrastructure at flood control projects.

Depensa ni House Committee on Appropriations Senior Vice Chairperson Bataan 2nd District Albert Garcia, rerepasuin pa ng Kongreso ang budget proposal at maaaring may mga pagbabago pa.

“So, talagang may mga magbabago pa d’yan, depending on the priorities,” giit ni Garcia.

Samantala, pinalagan naman ni Palace Press Officer Claire Castro ang ilang mga naging paratang ng mga mambabatas at iginiit na dapat pag-aralan muna ang budget proposal bago magbigay ng komento.

“Bago magsalita, mag-aral po muna,” ani Castro.

Ipinaliwanag din ni Castro ang naging budget cut para sa University of the Philippines (UP) at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) kung saan umabot sa P800 milyon ang itinapyas na budget para sa mga ito.

“We spoke directly with the DBM. There are instances when the budget for UP-PGH, for example, is significantly higher in 2026 because there is a project being funded,” wika ni Castro.

“For example, a building. If the project has already been completed, there should no longer be a budget for the same project. So, that sometimes becomes a reason why the budget decreases or increases,” pagpapatuloy nito.

Nasa P72 trillion ang kabuuang proposed budget at P407 million o 6% mas mataas kumpara sa P6.973 trillion national budget noong nakaraang taon.
