Capital1, Choco Mucho bounce back with 5-set wins over Farm Fresh, Galeries

Capital1 overcame a seesaw battle against the Foxies, prevailing 26–24, 20–25, 28–26, 20–25, 15–11 in a come-from-behind win.

Bella Belen led the Solar Spikers with 23 points on 20 kills and three blocks, adding 12 digs and 19 excellent receptions, while Sydney Niegos contributed 20 points off 17 attacks, two rejections, and a service ace, helping Capital1 improve to a 3-3 win-loss record.

Niegos shared her mindset in their win via a post-game interview.

“Sabi po [namin] kanina before mag-start ang game, never pa namin natatalo ang Farm Fresh ever since nag-start ang Capital1,” Niegos shared.

“Nasa mindset ko po na talagang all-out lang po,” she added.

The Farm Fresh Foxies are scheduled to return to the court to face the PLDT High Speed Hitters on March 5, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Two days later, the Capital1 Solar Spikers will look to build on their momentum as they take on the Akari Chargers on March 7, at the same San Juan venue.
 

Both squads are aiming for crucial victories in these upcoming assignments to improve their standings in the preliminary round of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Choco Mucho edges Galeries in 5-set battle

Meanwhile, Choco Mucho overcame a 1–2 set deficit to edge the Highrisers, 26–24, 20–25, 22–25, 25–13, 15–12, improving to a 2–3 record.

Eya Laure, returning from an injury, came off the bench to provide a spark, scoring 18 points on 14 kills.

Former UST teammate Sisi Rondina also contributed 18 points, while rookie Lorraine Pecana added 15 points and five rejections to secure the win.

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans are set to take the court, on March 3, to battle the Nxled Chameleons at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. 

Immediately following that match, the Galeries Tower Highrisers will test their mettle against the Creamline Cool Smashers in the same San Juan venue.
