Davison powers PLDT sweep vs Galeries; Farm Fresh stages comeback vs Choco Mucho in PVL AFC

Davison anchored PLDT’s offense throughout the entire match as the team completed a sweep, 25–18, 25–22, 25–17.

PLDT dictated the tempo early, scoring consistently to pull away midway through the opening set before securing the frame with a comfortable 25–18 cushion.

However, the Highrisers showed a short-lived rally against PLDT, tightening the game until late in the second frame before the High Speed Hitters held their ground to seal the second frame.

The third set was not any different for PLDT as they cruised past Galeries once more and completed the sweep.

Davison finished the game with 21 points, while Kim Fajardo added 15 excellent sets to help PLDT improve to a league-best 6–1 record and move closer to a semifinal qualifying spot.

Foxies storm back to stun Choco Mucho

Meanwhile, Farm Fresh outlasted Choco Mucho after five sets to secure a comeback victory, 21–25, 25–22, 16–25, 25–18, 15–9.

The Foxies forced a deciding set after regrouping in the fourth frame behind the combined effort of Trisha Tubu, Ces Molina and Royse Tubino.

Farm Fresh then pulled away in the fifth set as the trio powered the team to the 15–9 clincher.

Tubu led the Foxies with 22 points, while Molina added 17 and Tubino contributed 14 against her former team for a combined 53-point effort.

Choco Mucho, meanwhile, drew 22 points each from Kat Tolentino and Sisi Rondina, but the Flying Titans could not hold off Farm Fresh’s late surge.

PLDT will face Choco Mucho on March 14, while Farm Fresh takes on Creamline on March 17.
