Athletes from Pasig City showcased their exceptional athleticism and skills to be crowned as back-to-back champions, edging past Baguio City in the Batang Pinoy National Youth Games 2025, held in General Santos City on Oct. 25 to 31.
The defending champions garnered victories across 27 sporting events, collecting a total of 254 medals composed of 95 gold, 72 silver, and 87 bronze.
Baguio City, on the other hand, hauled 91 gold, 72 silver, and 74 bronze, falling short behind the Pasigueños by four gold medals.
Last year, Pasig dethroned Baguio’s four-year run as overall champs with 105 gold, 64 bronze, and 116 bronze medals to begin their championship streak.
Meanwhile, Davao City and Quezon City swapped places to finish third (53-53-68) and fourth (45-51-57), respectively.
The City of Manila recovered from a single-gold medal campaign last year, bagging 43 gold, 37 silver, and 32 bronze medals to successfully clinch fifth overall for this year’s edition.
Pasig City will be awarded ₱5 million for being overall champions.
